Apply to serve

Commissioners are volunteers who inspect facilities and advise on their management. The Commission does not take political positions or intervene in individual cases. There is no paid staff. Progress takes years; successful commissioners choose an area of focus and develop it over time.

Applications begin a review process that can take several months. Attend a public meeting, meet with commissioners, and receive a nomination before the juvenile court considers an appointment.
